Each Cream Tea will consist of two scones, each one split and filled with delicious strawberry jam, a layer of luscious fresh strawberries and wonderful thickly-whipped cream and then topped by the other half scone. Guests are asked to choose their beverage when reserving their places. The choices are : tea/coffee/orange juice/glass of rosé.
Upon arrival each guest will be given a free card with a number on it and its twin will be entered into that day's raffle. There will be three prizes – giving each guest an excellent chance of winning a prize ! As always, we shall be providing quality prizes and the draw will take place at 4:30pm at each event.
Each Cream Tea should be reserved and paid for in advance. Please make your payment either by internet banking or a cheque made payable to Association Stan Millward. A provisional booking will be acknowledged by e-mail and then confirmed upon receipt of payment.
The cost of each Scrumptious Cream Tea is 10€ per person.
All profts will, as always, be donated to Association Améthyste, Dépt d'Oncologie, CH Angoulême (aka Girac ).
This year Sharon has announced that, thanks to continued support and a more than generous award of some €3,000 from Crédit Agricole, the Association has raised an amazing €6,000 so far – enabling Améthyste to order a Therapeutic Virtual Reality Device which will be used to give relief and support to patients. Sharon tested the device after Améthyste’s AGM last November and was quite amazed by the experience.
Thank you all for helping once more to make a positive difference to the everyday lives of patients at Girac – Angoulême’s only hospital.

Orders will be accepted on a “First Come, First Paid and Reserved” basis. Bring your friends and also come along and meet some new ones .We’ve chosen earlier dates this year so that you can enjoy the blaze of colour provided by an array of azaleas and rhododendrons.

English Afternoon Tea
After several years of being closed, the new owner of Le Couvent des Cordeliers, Verteuil sur Charente, has made it possible for Susie Glayzer and members of the Mansle Rotary to invite guests for a memorable Afternoon Tea and a visit to the 14th century Chapelle François.
Sunday 22 May 3-5pm
The Afternoon Tea will be created by renowned chef Laurence Glayzer – and Takeaways can be reserved in advance for those who'd like to indulge in an extra treat.
I'm delighted that all proceeds will be donated to Association Stan Millward.
